Oil on Canvas – Marinko Skelin Skela

Art that soothes the eye and the mind.

At the FLO:R studio we present an exhibition that unites the strength of stone and the calm of the sea: an emotional homage to Dalmatian roots, inner balance and the power of creation.

Marinko Skelin – Skela, born in Zagreb, graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture. Though an engineer by profession he found his true expression in art. Of Dalmatian origin, he uses painting to reconnect with himself and his heritage. Art has become his place of serenity: a retreat from the challenges of everyday life and health struggles, and a return to the silence and peace that inspire his creative process.

This self-taught artist has been painting for more than thirty years, exploring various motifs in oil on canvas. In his latest exhibition “Geni kameni” he turns to hyperrealism merging the strength of stone, the glow of Mediterranean light, and the softness of emotion. These works invite reflection, presence, and connection: with nature, roots, and oneself.
